In reply to Anon. Yeah, I think for these tightknit communities it's more about having clear connections to the state than going to law school locally. I signed up for a few Honolulu firms during OCI, mainly because I wanted a free trip to Hawaii and unsurprisingly the law firms saw right through that. But classmates from my T5 school who'd grown up in Hawaii had no problem getting jobs back there.
